Jark 3 - The luxury Eco Camping and Glamping Hut Solution
Jark 3 is the culmination of four years of design and prototype phases to provide the eco-camper/glamper with a high quality, comfortable, fun
warm and dry stay which will keep them coming back time after time.
- Size: w 3.7m x d 2.4m x h 3m
- Materials: Constructed with FSC approved un-treated Cedar and hardwood
- Wood Protection: Coated with NanoShell Wood a non-toxic, bio-degradable, clear wood protector which lasts up to 7 years.
- Mobile: Built on a steel skid, Jark can be lifted or dragged into position
- Electric Hook Up: Wired for caravan style electric hook up, provides two sockets, internal and external lighting and an optional wall mounted radiator
- Eco Friendly: 25% Recycled tin roof (solar roof option available), FSC approved, insulated, double glazed
- Modular: Jark can be extended by simply adding another section to the back, and another, and another etc. Plus, Jark canvases can be fitted to the front
from the simple 'open beak' porch to the half and full sarafi tent options. Keep that camping and outdoor eating experience but live and sleep in the dry and warm Jark.

Jark 3 construction story. Below you can see how it's constructed and fitted out:
Jark 3 really is luxury camping and will give you very happy glampers! It has loads of space and it's warm and dry. Plus it's got lighting and electrical sockets! Jark 3 is a very sociable space and takes the bad things out of camping. It can even be used all year as it's fully insulated (more than most houses)
and comes with an optional, slimline, all mounted, oil filled radiator. At approximately 11ft (w) x 7ft (d) x 9ft (h) internal dimensions Jark is a fantastic glamping hut.
Here you can see the double sofabed out in bed mode. It's very comfortable and there's still plenty of room. In fact, there's enough room to have two of these double sofabeds in the Jark and you can still use the doors. So for extreme camping comfort why not have a
double sofabed, a table and a couble of chairs, or Jark can comfortably accommodate 4 adults.
We've kitted the show Jark out to give our customers and idea of the internal space and how light and airy it is. Jark really is a very practical, usable and sociable space. Here you can see the sofabed displayed
as a sofa. We've also put a couple of directors chairs in there and a little table. Plenty of room!
Jark 3 has been clad with FSC Cedar, which has been coated with nanoShell Wood, to protect it for up to 7 years. It's an eco-friendly protection with a UV filter providing our customers with fanatastic return on investment.
We wanted Jark to be really light and airy so we've added twin double glazed windows in the back. Also (not in this picture) we have developed a bike/surfboard rack which attaches to the back to help the glamper store their toys in a secure way
Nearing it's final stage, Jark 3 is waiting for it's glazing and completion of it's sofit lights (LED lights under the eves of the roof which give a fun effect at night).
NanoShell Coating - we've used the best quality un-treated Cedar and hardwood to build Jark 3 and back is Oberon, the 25% recycled tin roof. No we've not gone mad, yes we used
un-treated wood because we think the tanilisation process is not very eco-friendly and the wood has a tendency to shrink. However, we still needed to coat the Jark with something to
protect the wood. This is were we found NanoShell, it's a fantastic non-toxic, bio-degradable protection for wood. A single coat protects the Jark for upto 7 years and
it's got a UV filter in it! It was really easy to apply and had good coverage. Russel, our carpenter said he had to stop what he was doing whilst it was raining as he couldn't believe NanoShell Wood's Hydrophobic effect. The water was just streaming off it. We're
very please and we're sure our customers will be happy to know their Jarks and investment will be protected for at least 7 years.
Electric Hook Up and Solar Roof Options - we've added an electric hook up but we are also looking at giving our customer the option of having one or both roof pitches covered in either flexible or rigid PV panels to make Jark a carbon free investment. More to follow
The damp proof membrane is fully installed and the roof battens in place. That means Jark is waiting for Oberon the 25% recycled tin roof. It's very effective and long lasting which is great because our customers like to know their investment
if safe. More work has been done on the inside too.

Whilst we've reduced the amount of glass in Jark 3 from Jark 3 we've increased the size of the back window, by making it into two hand crafted windows. This ensures that Jark can be ventilated effectively and securely
We've covered the Jark in damp proof membrane as we want our luxury campers/glampers to have a pleasant confortable, warm and dry stay which will keep them coming back.
We've used Eco-Therm insulation to fully insulate Jark, thus extending the Jark to a year round camping/glamping hut solution, not just a summer stay. This keeps our campers warm and happy and extends the income period for our customers giving them extra ROI.
For strength and to provide the interior shell we've boarded the interior of Jark.
Built on a steel frame to provide mobility the softwood frame provides the structure and a hint at the final shape of Jark.
